In 1989, Maria was the winner of the Sun Poetry Festival in Lutsk. Then she became the "silver medalist" of the "Chervona Ruta" festival. Firm "Kobza" has released an audio cassette with guitar songs. In January 1992, the Canadian record company Yewshan released Burmaka's first CD, Maria, which became the first CD in history to be released by a Ukrainian artist. The album included not only guitar songs, but also compositions recorded in a new style. The recording was released in Canada and was reissued only in 1998 by Nova Records (Kiev). The same album first appeared in Ukraine in 1995 on a tape from the Garba company. The new album of Maria Burmaka, the songwriter so loved by the audience, was released in 1998, first on cassette, and then on CD. It was titled "I love you" ("In love again") and was recorded by Arkady Vikhorev at the Arcadia studio. The album differed sharply from the Ukrainian pop music of that time, primarily due to its sound. The amazed press called it ethnic music and Ukrainian gothic style. To record the disc, Maria invited real professionals, including Roman Surzha (guitar), Igor Melnichuk and Pavel Krokhmalev (former Brothers Gadyukins, bass and keyboards), Rolando Tomayo (percussion), Igor Volkov (keyboards) and Miron Bloshyak (flute). The presentation of the recording was also special: Maria invited her closest friends and the press to the 17th-18th century icons room at the National Museum of Fine Arts, where an acoustic guitar concert was given. She presented her new songs with only guitar accompaniment. According to those who witnessed the show, it was an unprecedented act that sparked controversy. Maria was the first artist to make such a remarkable step in the world of Ukrainian folk music. The concert made it clear that Maria's possibilities in live performance are great and proved that both of her big concerts in front of thousands of people and chamber acoustic concerts were emotionally equal. Each of Maria's albums defines some aspect of the singer's inner state, reflected in the shades of her mood, as well as in the concept of sound. Maria is the author of music and poetry. She herself is looking for musicians. Each entry is different from the previous one and shows a new Maria Burmaku. Maria Viktorovna Burmaka "Probach" performed the composition, conquering with her voice and manner of performance even more admirers of her talent. Spring 2000. Maria announces the casting. Her new group is beginning to rehearse with a series of staff changes. Yuri Pilip (bass) becomes the band leader and sound engineer. In fact, he breathes fresh sound into Maria's songs. MIA was released in June 2001. The record is a collection of 12 songs - 12 dramatic stories, and each one is sincere. Refined lyrics with a special charm, beautiful music, Maria's specific voice, the energy of a live show, aesthetics and relevance clearly characterize Maria and the new creation of her group. Most of the songs were organized by Yuri Pilip. Those who created the album were Mikhail Bankovsky (guitar), Alexander Garkavy (drums), Rodion Ivanov (keyboards), Salman Salmanov (percussion) and Ivan Shevchuk (sound engineer).
